About Dubai Maritime City
Dubai Maritime City (DMC) is a multi-purpose zone dedicated to the maritime industry in the UAE. Based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the project is expected to be completed in 2021.
The 249-hectare development is divided into different zones: Industrial Precinct, Maritime Centre, The Academic Quarter, Marina District, Harbour Offices and Harbour Residences. Strategically positioned between Port Rashid and Dubai Drydocks World, Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) is the first international centre focused on the development of maritime, commerce and trade industry in the region.
Dubai Maritime City Free Zone is surrounded by the Arabian Gulf which allows quick access to the sea, airport as well as public transport options. The Maritime Centre, as the name suggests, is the centrepiece of Dubai Maritime City. It was established as an urban corporate park and consists of eight waterfront parcels and three interior parcels around a boulevard. There is a cluster featuring five high-rise towers named as the Creek Towers, a plaza and Landmark Tower at the entrance.
Moreover, seven plots here are dedicated to the construction of towers by other potential developers. There will also be 5-star business hotels and VIP serviced apartments in Dubai Maritime City, Maritime Centre. The city aims to facilitate the marine industry with arrangements for ship repairs, yacht manufacturing, engineering services, marine suppliers and technical help. DMC has a well-planned infrastructure with workshops, warehouses, offices, shops and ship lifts.
